What Happened to Peanut?

Peanut hiding upstairs

As you may recall, my human goes away every so often to work at the rocket ship place and comes home to tell me about these working cats Peanut and Lucy. My human says that these cats earn their keep by keeping vermin down at the rocket ship warehouse, and that everyone stops by everyday to pet them and tell them what a good job they are doing. Every time some one new would come into the building, Peanut and Lucy were the welcoming committee and vermin checkers. Yup, they made sure there were no flies on humans. That all ended a couple months ago, and it is a very big mystery. A couple months ago, Peanut, all of a sudden ran away from his duties, and could not be found for days. He was hiding in the corner upstairs of the warehouse he is supposed guard. He is now afraid of the door closing, and he does not like hearing new man voices that he is not familiar, and he will run upstairs and hide. My human said that Peanut looks sad and depressed. What happened to Peanut? It is a mystery.

Poor Peanut! Someone has been cruel to him. He doesn't have broken ribs from a kick or anything, does he? We're purring he finds a nice gentle home.

No one could find him for a couple weeks, so they don't know if he had broken bones. Everyone suspects a stranger, a man, came in and either hit or kicked Peanut. Everyone who knows Peanut, loves Peanut, and we all want to know who was mean to him.

If Peanut is scared of a door closing, maybe he got locked in a closet or somplace. If he was there for several days, especially if he got locked up on purpose by someone, that might explain a lot of his fears.

Do you know, has he gotten any better after these months?

That is a pretty cool hiding place... I am sure you have more time for a quite nap. My rabbits best hiding place is the woven burrow that I place in the rabbit hutches.
